This is now the 12th draft I've input (inputted?) in the history of the Smarter Than Phil Simms Fantasy League (the first year we drafted online in the ESPN app). And I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like these rosters. Almost every roster has some weird roster quirk to it. Let's look at who's got whom:
Boobies (heh) has the most Patriots players (Rhamondre, Romeo Doubs, Andy Borregales).
The Effect has both AJ Brown and Chase Brown (and also ended his draft taking 3 Chargers (Dicker the Kicker, the Chargers D, and Keaton Mitchell).
Hardcore Sacks has both Javonte Williams & Caleb Williams. Pedro Pickles also has two Williams (Kyren and Jameson) and a Wilson (Michael).
Dancin' Dennis took DK and J.K. with back-to-back picks (picks 90 and 91).
Joe Buck's Enormous Forehead leads our league in Smiths, holding both DeVonta Smith and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. (A stretch? Maybe....wait till you see the next one.)
Falco has the most bi-coastal team; CeeDee Lamb is his most centrally-located player, along with Jeremiyah Love. Everyone else is within an hour's drive to an ocean.
Iron Ryan leads Team Apostrophe: De'Von Achane, Wan'Dale Robinson, De'Zhaun Stribling.
Death Valley Driver has two Warrens (Jaylen and Ty). He's also got the All-Generations Team: Kyle Pitts Sr., Michael Pittman Jr., Chris Godwin Jr. (chosen in rounds 9-11, no less) then Mike Washington Jr. Also has the last player in the NFL alphabetically, Dominic Zvada (I presume).
And then there's my favorite: Team Provost, or should I call him the Team Arches?? Trey McBride, Tet McMillan, and Terry McLaurin. By itself, not really enough for me to call them the McDonald's team, except that he also drafted Matthew Golden. Also: 8 of his 14 players (I won't count the defense because it makes the number seem even crazier) have a last name that starts with the letter M!
